Here at First Church, we believe that Jesus Christ is “the way and the truth and the life.” We believe that “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Romans 10:13).”
Not only do we believe it for ourselves, but we exist to share this good news with everyone we possibly can.
So have you called on the name of the Lord and believed in your heart that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior and confessed it with your mouth?
If you have – Alleluia! We celebrate that and encourage you to become part of First Church or a local church near you.
If you haven’t yet called on the name of the Lord for salvation – we would like to help you…
Would you say the following prayer with us,
“Dear Lord, I have reached this moment in my life when I have realized that I can’t do this on my own – my own ways, my own strength, my own goodness. I understand now that my sinful human nature alone has and will always keep me separated from you. But I don’t want to be separated from you anymore. I want the joy and peace that comes from a living relationship with you. So I want to confess my sins to you and acknowledge that I need your son, Jesus Christ, to come into my life and be the center of my world – I want to be his disciple and follow Him. I confess and believe that Jesus’ shed blood and broken body on the cross and his death purchased my salvation and paid for my sins. And as my sinful nature dies with Christ’s death, I know now that my new self, the new creation in Christ lives as he lives resurrected. I thank you God for all of this in the name of Jesus. Amen.”
