Sunday Offerings

Nursery
We strive to have a Christ centered, safe, clean, and nurturing environment in our infant (birth - age 1 1/2) and toddler nurseries (age 1 1/2 - 2 1/2). Our nursery is available every Sunday for our worship service and Sunday School hour and also for our Wednesday FOCUS program. Occasionally the nursery is also available during special events, such as concerts. When applicable, a note will be published in the bulletin to notify parents that nursery is available during these types of events.

Young 3’s
The Young 3's class takes place on Sunday mornings during the service. Each week your child learns a key concept. The story, activity, and coloring page reinforce the concept. The children sing and pray to God, engage in music activities, have playtime, and enjoy a snack. This program is intended to be a transition between nursery and Children in Worship.

Children in Worship—age 3 (by Sept. 1) through First Grade
Begins at the beginning of the service and ends at 11:45 a.m (varied times and places during the summer). During this special time, the children's faith is nurtured through activities developed around the order of worship.

Grades 2-4
Sunday morning 10:45 - 11:45 a.m.
Using a large and small group format, these grades walk through the Bible together with a variety of hands-on activities and relative experiences.

Grades 5 & 6
Sunday morning 10:45 - 11:45 a.m.
These two classes study the Biblical time line and relationship-building with Christ, friends, and family based on Biblical teachings. This is achieved using a variety of activities and experiences, including drama, games, special speakers, large group and small group.

Collision—Grades 5 & 6
Meets 1 or 2 times a month (3:00 - 4:30 p.m) in the Lighthouse. This is a fun opportunity to meet and hang out with each other as we continue the discussion of what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus.

Special Needs
We have a team of people who work together with parents of special needs children to design a plan to meet the child’s needs and provide for a meaningful church experience.

Other Programs

Families Of Christ United In Spirit (FOCUS)
For all ages, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m.
This Wednesday evening program is intended to develop relationships and friendships. The casual atmosphere begins with an optional family meal together, followed by age and grade level classes (3 yrs. - Grade 8) and music opportunities. Classes focus on Biblical truths and developing a Christian life-style through a rotating curriculum based on The Great Commission.

Children's Choirs
Our children's choirs provide an outlet for children to learn to express their love of God through song. These choirs meet to enjoy fellowship and prepare music to share in our times of worship and special events.
  • Cherub Choir (Grades 1-3) - meets Wednesday nights during FOCUS  7:15-8:00 p.m.
  • All God’s Children  (Grades 4-6) - meets Wednesday nights during FOCUS  6:30-7:15 p.m.

Maple Tree Preschool
For over 25 years Maple Tree Preschool has been a ministry of First Church. Sessions for ages 3 1/2 - 5 years are available. Maple Tree is committed to this wondrous task of introducing children to God’s world and cooperating with parents in the awesome process of growth and discovery.

On three dates during the sumer, children participate part way through the service until the end of the service for a time of fun, fellowship and faith.
