Music Ministry

Children/Youth Choirs
Beautiful singing with great joy can be heard coming from their rehearsals. These choirs meet to enjoy fellowship and prepare music to share in times of worship.
  • Cherub Choir (Grades 1-3) - meets Wednesday nights during FOCUS  7:15-8:00 p.m.
  • All God’s Children  (Grades 4-6) - meets Wednesday nights during FOCUS  6:30-7:15 p.m.
  • Cornerstone  (Grades 7–12) - meets Wednesdays during FOCUS  5:00-5:30 p.m.
Church Orchestra
This is a wonderful opportunity for musicians of all ages to gather and occasionally lead worship. Church Orchestra meets during the FOCUS season as there is interest.

Bells of Joy (Handbell Choir)
Meets Tuesday evenings during FOCUS season, and plays occasionally for worship services. No experience is necessary, yet an understanding of basic music reading is needed.

Chancel Choir
This choir meets Wednesday nights 7:30 - 9:00pm.  September through May for rehearsals and includes singing for most Sunday morning worhsip services and other special services.  The Choir enjoys a time of learning music, as well as a time of worship, building relationships, and growing in our spiritual journey.  This group is open to all singers high school age and up who want to join their voices and bring praise to God.

Our Praise Team singers love to praise God through contemporary vocal music. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday nights at 5:30 p.m. The Praise Team enjoys leading congregational singing at most of our worship services.

Praise Team
For those who love to praise God primarily through contemporary vocal music. Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 p.m.  The Praise Team enjoys leading congregational singing at most of our worship services. 


Worship Ministry
Enhances worship setting with meaningful illustrations through drama and dance.

Dance
First Reformed Church members, children, youth and adult, males and females who feel God moving through them in the creative expression of dance. Psalm 149:3 "Let them praise His name with dancing."

Drama
Upon request, the drama team presents a message from the Bible in a creative or dramatic way. We prepare the heart and mind for the message from God that the pastor will give.

Technical Ministries
Technical Ministries provides opportunities for hands-on learning, understanding, and expanding the technical side of worship and church administration. Sound and Lighting Technicians set-up and take down sound equipment and run sound and lighting for worship services. AV Systems Operators set-up and run power point and “Audacity” (recording software) for worship services.
